Jessica & Kyle l AZ Couples Session

[shot by Andrew]

[shot by Andrew]

Since I landed here in AZ, about a week ago,
I have been impatiently waiting for my 1st ever shoot back in Arizona!
The lighting is so different and a real challenge here in Arizona.
I had it way too easy back in North Carolina, come on.
I love challenges though and of course, I first started photographing in Arizona,
so I knew a thing or two about the harsh light here.
It's gorgeous here though and I couldn't have been happier
to have photographed Jessica and Kyle!
I had photographed them back in December and they enjoyed
their photos enough to come back to me! What an honor!
Seriously, they are an amazing couple!

You can see their previous post here.

This is also the first photo shoot that Andrew shot with me
and I couldn't have been happier with the results! He is truly talented :)
I'll show some of his wonderful shots as well throughout the blogs.

Happy Thursday!

Andrew and his Boring work day

Today was "Take Your Girlfriend to Work Day."
I accompanied Andrew to work and it's not the first time, but
the last time I had gone, was when I was still in school at cgcc.
So, it was a bit odd going and not having homework to do and only trying to come up with
something to keep my sanity going. Nah, it wasn't that bad, but hey...
who wants to go to school when they don't need too?
His job is pretty amazing though, if you sit there and think about it.
He has no supervisor breathing on his
back every single second that he is there. I despise working retail.
But hey.... that's not what I was meant to do in life. NOPE!
I know photography is my calling and thank goodness it is, because
I love it!

Happy Monday!

My Abercrombie Model

School dragged on today.
What's new?
I felt like this semester, I have been in for eternity.
Not sure why?
Maybe I have just been so busy with other things,
to really concentrate in class.
Actually,
Before school this morning,
Andrew and I decided to go to the DMV
to... well, change our license to the cool
horizontal status.
Bar hopping, here we go!
No, not really...

But, while we were at the DMV,
waiting forever...
this cute little girl
no older than 3 was totally crushing on Andrew.
It was really cute and sweet actually,
she would giggle and smile,
even smirk at his direction
and shamelessly hide her face at times.
I did get a little jealous,
JK.
I wish I could have photographed her though,
she was brave enough to sit beside him
and rest her head on him.
So. Freaking. Cute.
Any who,
besides class being a bore, I finally put together
a really cool looking price list.
No more boring "Word" format
now it's got some spunk to it!
Woo hoo!

Oh, and after class, I randomly took Andrew
out to this abandoned house.
It was the first location I went to photograph,
nearly 8 months ago.
This place was a disaster.
weeds and gross plants were attacking
this abandoned area.
Bees were residing within the gun shot wall.
Interesting, yet scary.

I was recently diagnosed with poison ivy...
You would think I learned.

Not that I did get poison ivy,
but you never know.
Abandoned area, plus BIG bushes,
and random plants.
Well, here some photos from today!

Yup. He is my model :)

Pizza Day

Life is always an adventure,
when you have Andrew by your side.
[those are my glasses, btw...]

We traveled far into Gilbert, well, only like 20 minutes into Gilbert, it was far!
That is besides the point. The point is, we drove to a junkyard.
One that a dear friend of mine introduced me to.
Personally, this junkyard is cool, but it was not too cool while we were there.

5 parked cards, cameras, flashes everywhere.
Newborns and families... what?
It is, indeed photographing season.
It is so beautiful out, all we want to do is photograph.
I love the grungy part of the junkyard, but I also appreciate the
beautiful random sunflowers that blossom around.

I wish there were fields,
fields of sunflowers I can run across,
because I so would.

[I love abstract things. Guess what it is?]

[sunflowers are the most beautiful flower..]

[that God could ever make]

There were chickens, trucks, rust covered trailers, everywhere.
this place is almost like heaven within our little desert.
I will tell you one thing,
as much as I love this junkyard,
if I were the mother of said newborn, I would pay my photographer
to go elsewhere.
Isn't it dangerous, being in such a dirty place for a newborn?
Anyway, those are my thoughts.

There was this gorgeous burst of light around random objects.
I wanted to photograph.
Nature and it's very interesting aspect, inspires me to photograph.

I wish I could all day, because I so would.

Travel to the best areas of the world
and photograph it's beauties. I want it all.

Now, that I am getting off subject,
I'm sure you want to know what's up with my title?

Well, Andrew and I had pizza!
[yummmmmmy....]

After our tiresome adventure, we gave in and went out to buy some pizza.
only from the best place ever!

Enjoy!
