Kailee + Jordan l AZ Couples Session

She saw him up on stage, rocking out to his band.
Playing his heart away, but never would have known he was about to give his whole
heart to a girl from the crowd.
No, she wasn't a groupie, just way too cute for words.
She loved the way he played his guitar
and couldn't help thinking he was just so cute
and she wanted to meet him. Lucky for her,
they ended up having mutual friends and Jordan got the girl of his dreams, Kailee.
You can tell from the look they have for one another,
how madly in love they are. Each photograph I took of them, was
filled with love and a subtle peace.

They are down in AZ for the weekend and was more than happy
I was able to meet them and photograph their love!

Jessica & Kyle l AZ Couples Session

[shot by Andrew]

[shot by Andrew]

Since I landed here in AZ, about a week ago,
I have been impatiently waiting for my 1st ever shoot back in Arizona!
The lighting is so different and a real challenge here in Arizona.
I had it way too easy back in North Carolina, come on.
I love challenges though and of course, I first started photographing in Arizona,
so I knew a thing or two about the harsh light here.
It's gorgeous here though and I couldn't have been happier
to have photographed Jessica and Kyle!
I had photographed them back in December and they enjoyed
their photos enough to come back to me! What an honor!
Seriously, they are an amazing couple!

You can see their previous post here.

This is also the first photo shoot that Andrew shot with me
and I couldn't have been happier with the results! He is truly talented :)
I'll show some of his wonderful shots as well throughout the blogs.

Happy Thursday!

Lisha + Matthew l Day-After Session

Lisha and Matthew wed a couple years back and unfortunately, weren't able to get a photographer for their wedding. Lisha was the very first photographer I met
when I moved to North Carolina and she is absolutely
such a down to earth gal, I'm so thankful I met her and she actually lives, basically,
down the road. When she asked if I could take some photos of her and
her husband, Matthew, I was more than thrilled that she asked me to
photograph her photos. She is such a beautiful person inside and out and I can't
be thankful enough for our paths to have crossed! She is also an amazingly talented
photographer at Lisha Myers Photography.
You can also check out her facebook
and say hi!
Thanks again Lisha for having me :)

Happy Thursday!

AZ I love you :)

Liz&Daniel l Couples Session

These two met online and not on a dating site either.
You could say it was fate. Daniel moved from Georgia to North Carolina
for school. Liz and Daniel were practically neighbors and they didn't know it.
Daniel's friend suggested he try out Xanga, a blog, and try to find some
locals and become friends with them.
Little did they know, Liz was pretty obessed with blogging.

That's how their journey began, by a comment.
That comment lead to a hang out and the hang out to a "oh, I think he/she is so cute"
That sentence lead them to a date.
This is the date that changed everything, the one where
fate would bring them much closer than before
and they got engaged and are happily married.

We all have our happily ever afters!
And they scored two gorgeous twins, who are a little over 3 months old.
You can view their post here.

Happy Saturday everyone!

Amber&Brian l Engaged!

They both met at the Special Olympics
and although they weren't participating they had either a brother
or sister who enjoyed themselves. They ran into one another
and have been inseparable since.
When Amber called me, she was excited to do a couples shoot,
well, turns out Brian recently proposed to her this past wednesday!
How sweet is that? He practically begged Amber to call and
set up an appt. He probably planned it all along ;)
The entire time we laughed and joked around
and they are a super fun couple to hang out with!
You can tell in their photographs how much they love one another
and I hope to photograph their wedding in the near future!
Congrats Amber&Brian!

P.S. I volunteered at the Special Olympics in Arizona and
it is such a wonderful experience and so much fun!
If you ever decide to do it, it really is awesome
and you should look into it!

Jessica&Demien l Couples session

This is Jessica and Demien!
They have known one another, technically since jr high.
They met through mutual friends and they just love one another.
They are such a cute couple and Jessica and I shared a lot in common.
I actually met Jessica through a photog forum when I was
still living in Arizona!
How crazy is that, and we totally clicked today
and I can't wait to hang out again!

Check out her photography,
she is amazingly talented and her hair is super cool and fun :)

Happy Thursday!

Sabrina&Josh

I had a chance to photograph Sabrina and Josh
and it was fun!
These two met in the E.R.
Not because they both sprained their ankles,
and happened to meet by chance,
but they both work there.
How cute :)

They are such a cute couple
and are looking forward to their May wedding.

Tifani and Michael

Tifani and Michael.

They met at Barnes and Noble
and ran into each other while reading the same book.
Who would have thought?
They both fell in love with the same book,
as well as themselves.

Did I mention....
They actually met at a bar,
never at Barnes and Noble.

They like to have a different
story for those who don't know them

But, HA! I found them out :)

Seriously though,
they were such a beautiful couple.
So photogenic.

Did I mention, that throughout the whole entire shoot
I was thinking,
"Michael looks like someone."
When it came to editing, I figured it out!
He kinda looks like a younger version of Gerard Butler!

Resemblance? I Think yes :)
it was tough finding a photo of him with clothes on.

Did you know Gerard is in one of my all time favorite
movies? Oh I could just watch this over, and over again!

Candi&Heath

All it took was an instant message.
One IM brought these two lovebirds together.
As they got to know each other better and better,
they both realized they were only 4 miles away from one another.
How could they not ever have crossed paths? Well...

It was Candi's first time bringing Heath home to meet the family.
As she introduced him to each sibling, she started hearing the same response.
"Oh, yeah it's Heath! From school."

Surprised, she asked how could they have all known him
and she never even heard of him!

Funny how we meet our soulmates, right?
I mean, 4 miles away from one another! Crazy.

Janelle&Shawn

So they met in a bar...
and no, not because they were there for drinks.
Actually, they worked together.

Maybe, it wasn't love at first sight, but Janelle took a second look
and loved what she saw.

She saw Shawn as more than a friend.

Now, they are engaged and ready to get married!

Their wedding will be in Jamaica.
Oh the ever-so-green country of Jamaica!

The pristine waters are enough to take anyone there!
They chose it, because it was a place they had never explored,
a place they had never been to.

The fact that they are going to have a destination wedding,
in such a beautiful place, it's like starting fresh. Janelle and Shawn will be
staring a brand new chapter of their life and they are such a perfect couple;
I can't imagine not seeing them together!

Couples Shoot!

To day I did a couples session!
Not only was it fun photographing, but they kept me laughing the whole time!
They are one of the greatest couples around and I was so happy to have photographed them! :)
Their photos turned out beautiful and I know they will love them! Tell me your thoughts!
